  • Overview

    Axom Technologies is currently seeking a skilled SATCOM-ANTENNA MAINTENANCE TECH to join our growing team! The SATCOM-ANTENNA MAINTENANCE TECH Installs, configures, provisions, and tests, integrated and repair telecommunication network systems components in direct support of the government's mission.


    • Ability and willingness to work in outside environments, in all weather conditions, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of SATCOM systems and associated antenna systems;
    • Physical ability to climb antennas, work in man-lift systems and lift minimum of 50 pounds, without assistance.
    • Working with Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems to include mobile and Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) as well as fixed earth station Teleports.
    • Experience providing technical support to the engineering and testing of complex SATCOM monitoring software and hardware systems
    • Hands-on experience with the installation, provisioning, maintenance, operation, and testing of, line of sight microwave, routers, switches Network Management Systems, satellite modems, solid state power amplifiers, low noise block converters;
    • Hands-on experience with laboratory configuration and interconnectivity of SATCOM links;
    • Experience with telecommunications and network analysis, performance, and communications tools (for example: HP, W&G, Tekelec, Fireberd, and Nethawk);
    • Experience with conducting integration and system level testing of telecommunications systems or platforms.


    • High School/GED
    • 3-4 years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
